Ibrew2or3 (1757), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 1, 2007 On tap @ brewery. Pours a clear deep copper with somewhat creamy tan head. The aroma is sweet with caramelized malts, malt astringency and pale malts. The taste hits first with a streak of malt astringency that ties into roasted malts, a hint of caramelized malts, faint chocolate malts and mild charred – burnt – cindered malt dust. That last part could be the chocolate malts I taste. This seems to be a nice brown. The malt astringency has its place but here it could be slightly reduced. But that may be getting too picky. DragonStout (1182), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 21, 2007 On tap at the Brewpub.Poured a thin brown color with a thin head.Caramel and nuts aroma.Flavor was roasted nuts, hops and malts with some caramel.Had some hop bitterness thrown in there. The finish was bitter. fishingnet (855), Brandon, Florida, USA Oct 16, 2007 Tap. Pours a clear amber with a one finger lasting off-white head that lasts leaving some lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt and light caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Simple but very drinkable. desurfer (1037), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Sep 29, 2007 Rich amber body with a puffy beige head. Aroma is sweet and slightly nutty. Malts are the order of the day here, with a strong but not cloying sweetness with notes of chocolate and caramel. Hops take a back seat but round it out nicely. I’m not usually a fan of browns but this is pretty good. Quake1028 (628), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 9, 2007 Draught. Dark brown body with red highlights, small fading head, minimal lacing. Aromas of caramel malts, nuts, some chocolate but not much. Flavor is caramel, toffee, nuts and a nice malt background. Light bodied, creamy palate. Finish is watery and short.
