Slightly roasty, but otherwise very subdued nose. Medium bodied, maybe a bit thin for the style. Nice chocolaty, coffee like flavor. Good bitter hop finish.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 9, 2007 On tap at the brew pub. Poured like the little picture top left. :) Roasty hints of nuts, coffee, but all in all a little too thin for me. Nitro can make a beer great but this one didn’t step up. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 23, 2007 Cask. Pours a hazy dark brown with a two finger tan head that lasts and leaves great lacing. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, oats, and light toffee. Taste is the same as aroma with a mild but well balanced bitterness. Full creamy mouthfeel. One of the best beers brewed in Florida. nick76 (2676), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 18, 2007 The aroma has chocolate, coffee, and burnt malt. The appearance is dark brown with very little head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is too thin for a stout. Overall it’s a nice attempt at stout but it falls a little short. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 12, 2007 Deep garnet body with a thick mocha head. Aroma of oatmeal and roasted malts. Flavor of roasty coffee and chocolate, with a smattering of hops and and some doughy malts. Finishes dry and tart. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2007 Draught at brewpub. Leather aroma. Some semi-sweet chocolate. Fully opaque. Light brown head. Excellent lace. Very carbonated mouth feel. Chocolate notes. Enjoyable . A little overly contrived and tinny with the exuberant carbonation, but you can’t argue with the flavor. Not bad. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Draft at the brewpup. Pours an opaque black with a creamy, tan head. Very nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, dry malt and some chocolate but not a lot. Certainly smells like a dry stout. Flavor is dry coffee, not much else comes to the very fore of the palate. Not as creamy in the mouth as the body would have you believe. Finish is dry as the desert, bitter coffee throughout. Not a huge fan of nitrogen brews, but this was nice.
