Finally got around to drinking and rating this one. Poured graphite black with creamy wavy light brown head out of the nitro tap. Nice lacing is left clinging to the glass. The aroma is on the light side with a mix of burnt malts slight astringency and molasses. If I pull enough aroma into my nose I start to get some chocolate notes. The flavor starts off mild until a dull burnt malts hit with a slight sweetness. As the taste progresses the burnt malts become more pronounced. Midway a hint of vanilla surfaces briefly. Just as the vanilla vanishes a chocolate note joins in. Nice session stout.

On tap at the brewpub in Ybor City (Tampa). Jet black pour, mocha colored aroma. Good earthy, dirt-like aroma. Smoky flavor, good roasted notes with great bitterness. Thickish mouthfeel with just the right amount of chalkiness. My choice for a pint out of the sampler.

Draft. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is pleasant with mild roasted malts. Flavor is pretty straight forward chocolate flavor. Not too complex but very smooth. A very drinkable stout.

Draught at TBBC. Nose is smoky chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is terribly watery for a stout. Chocolate and water. Boring, offensively thin.

Lots of coffee, very smooth, almost silky. Lots of roasted flavors. Pretty delicious.

Draft at TBBC. Pours black with very dark brown tinges to the edge, with a thick mocha head, fat bubbles popping out erratically. Aroma of fresh coffee grounds, chocolate, smoked grains, toasted malts are present but don’t overpower the senses. Flavor is drying immediately, chocolate, coffee and hops dancing in unison towards a subtle but full roasty finale. Finishes very dry, lighter mouthfeel than expected, with a touch of smokiness left to tantalize. Well done.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma was BIG coffee, rich sweet chocolate, and roasted notes all over. Flavor was a creamy milk chocolate with a coffee finish. Very smooth, it was the creamy mouthfeel that complimented the rich chocolate that made this one.

Really impressed by this one, and I’m generally not a fan of dry stouts. Black in color with a tan head. Had a thick velvety mouthfeel. Tastes was much like coffee wtih some roasty chocolate hints.
