The chalk board said this was 8%, so like others before me, I’m a bit confused by where to rate this. Anyway, it pours dark brown with a medium mocha head. Aroma is chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. Flavor is molassas, chocolate, some astringent coffee bitterness. Body is a little thin (maybe from the 8% ABV). Jsut an average stout (or imperial stout)...who knows.

Well first off the brewery says its 8% ABV. Smells heavily of chocolate. I detest the nitrogen widgets, but in this instance it added a velvety creaminess to it. Taste was very chocolatey, as was the finish, slightly bitter. Definitely my favorite beer there. Also had it with a scoop of ice cream in it. Sweet jesus, faboo. I cant mention how much chocolate i found. Awesome stuff.

Draft at Tampa Bay Brewing. A large sized light brown head that was creamy and smooth with fine sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The body was uncarbonated and opaque with a black hue. The nose was malty and mild coffee. The flavor of this beer was bitter, sour and coffee. The palate was smooth and this was a medium bodied beer with excellent.

Theoretically an imperial stout version of this brew, though you coulda fooled me. Black with a thin, mocha-colored oily head. Tastes like a rather unpleasant mix of burnt coffee and tobacco mixed with some underlying sugariness, an odd and less than happy-making mix.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 81. This draft brew was sampled at the brewery in Tampa Florida and was served to us by Jim McCann the brewer and Vicky Owen the owner. This brew poured mug of nothing but foam initially. Once it settled a bit it formed a creamy fine head of extremely long lasting bubbles that left behind an excellent lace and an opaque black body. It had a strong dark malt and mild coffee aroma with a smooth mouthfeel and a mild hop bite. THe lfavor was all dark malt and not coffee. The ABV was listed by the brewer as 7.5%.
