Eh it looked pretty good. Too bad the bartender either didnt know what he was doing or the tap was way too pressured. Taste just didnt live up to what it looked like. Just bland. A good effort since its a pretty big style, but not much besides bland dark roastedness.

Tap at TBBC. Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma, floral hops, caramel malts, some chocolate. Taste is hoppy, floral notes, lightly bitter chocolate finish with a nice caramel / malty notes on the palate. Little coffee in teh afetrtaste. For some reasons this one was a freshly new batch, and the beer seemed to be much lighter than other versions. It remains an outstanding porter, highly drinkable.

Draft at the brewpub. Cloudy dark brown pour. Aroma is bitter chocolate malt with some citrus hops. Taste is smooth malty chocolate, bitter grains and a good hop bitterness all balance really well. Very good porter.

Sampled at the Tampa Lowry Park Zoo WaZoo Festival in August 2008. An excellent malty and chocolatey porter. Dark and robust.

Had on tap at the brewery. Beautiful dark pour. Smelled like dark chocolate and coffee and flavor is the same.

Tap at the brewery. Pours to a REALLY deep mahogany body with a creamy light beige head. The aroma is tootsie rolls and light grainy chocolate. The cara-pils and crystal are there to round it out. Some light smoky things going on too. The flavor is a nicely grainy chocolate and has a balanced hoppiness. Nice fitting texture.

On tap at the brewery. Dark thin body with dark roast flavor. Light bitterness on the finish. Well balanced and easy to drink a few with the low abv and thin body.

On tap at the brewery on 4/5/08. Pours a dark brown to black with a thin, creamy white-tan head. Aroma: strong grain and coffee scents with slight hint of chocolate. Tastes sweet with hint of amaretto with a slightly bitter finish.
