On tap @ TBBC. Black with a thin light tan head. Nice roasty aroma with light chocolatey tones. Nice smooth taste - a lot of roast that stays just short of being too bitter. Great roasty finish. Overall very nice and smooth, with a decent roast presence.

From tap at brewpub : Pours very dark with decent head and lacing. Aroma of coffee and caramel and roastedness. Flavor is much the same as the smell. Medium to thick body with a nice feel on the palate. Very good.

Tap. Pours a clear dark brown with ruby highlights and a one finger lasting tan head that leaves great lacing. Aroma of chocolate, light roasted malt, and light caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium creamy mouthfeel with a medium amount of bitterness. A wonderfull Porter.

Originally reviewed back on 5/18/04. Received 4.25 score. Added to my RB list to check "Florida" as a beer state consumed. A treat to find at the Tampa Bay Brewing Co. while on vacation. Great aromas of roasty malts and some cocoa. Sturdy head of tan. Flavors give more roasty maltiness and cocoa along with a healthy dose of chocolate bar. Crisp hoppiness in the aftertaste.

Probably my favorite beer from these guys. Pours a very dark brown, with a light brown head. Looks medium to full bodied. Some toasted malts, a little chocolate, and a mild roastiness all filled the air around the glass. The roast really showed up in the flavor, with a decent amount of coffee, some mild chocolate and dark malts were there too. Very creamy mouthfeel, that seemed to drink really easy. Not a very strong beer, but it left a good impression on me.

On tap at the brewpub 1/1/07: Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a nicely-lacing, wispy light tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel and chocolately malts with a touch of roastiness. Body starts sweet and milk chocolatey with nice roasty coffee flavor for balance and a touch of biting carbonation before a thinner finish.

On tap at the new brewpub. Poured Dark Brown with a medium brown head. Aroma was heavily roasted with chocolate and coffee. Flavor was a rich chocolate, coffee, and plenty of roasted goodness. Really good malty body. Outstanding porter.
