Nice roasty aroma with light chocolatey tones. Nice smooth taste - a lot of roast that stays just short of being too bitter. Great roasty finish. Overall very nice and smooth, with a decent roast presence. BigMilly8 (376), Holiday, Florida, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Updated: Aug 21, 2007Originally reviewed back on 5/18/04. Received 4.25 score. Added to my RB list to check "Florida" as a beer state consumed. A treat to find at the Tampa Bay Brewing Co. while on vacation. Great aromas of roasty malts and some cocoa. Sturdy head of tan. Flavors give more roasty maltiness and cocoa along with a healthy dose of chocolate bar. Crisp hoppiness in the aftertaste.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 29, 2007 Probably my favorite beer from these guys. Pours a very dark brown, with a light brown head. Looks medium to full bodied. Some toasted malts, a little chocolate, and a mild roastiness all filled the air around the glass. The roast really showed up in the flavor, with a decent amount of coffee, some mild chocolate and dark malts were there too. Very creamy mouthfeel, that seemed to drink really easy. Not a very strong beer, but it left a good impression on me. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA
