Draught at brewpub. Rotten banana aroma, which is all wrong for a barley wine. Clear dark amber with no visible carbonation. Off-white head. Excellent lace. No haziness or carbonation. Very nice color. Sweet, high alcohol. Not a barley wine. Totally missed the style. Threw sugar at it. More of a Belgian strong. A decent beer.

On tap at the brewpub 1/1/07: Pours a transparent copper mahogany with a ring of wispy off-white head. Aroma has some rich caramel and light fruity character. Body starts sweet and caramely malty, thinning slightly toward a warming finish. Not much hops, so I’m assuming this is an English-styled barleywine.

Draft at the brewpup. Aroma of sweet caramel, hops and malt. Sticky, almost cloying mouthfeel. Pours a reddish amber color with a nice sized white head. Nice lacing. Fore is some nutty malt notes, hops and toffee. Finish is very clean, no bitter hop bite. I liked this one a lot. Well done TBBC.

Tap at TBBC. Pours a opaque red color, with some head. Has hints of fruit, some hops. Finishes pretty clean on the pallete.

On tap at the brewpub in Ybor City (Tampa). Medium amber pour, white head. Faint citrusy and nutty aroma. Chewy citrusy flavor. Thickish moouthfeel. Very drinkable barley wine - abv hidden well.

Draft. Pours a ruby red with not much head. Aroma is sweet with fruits and that normal Barley Wine smell. Medium bodied with quite a sweet flavor but not as overwhelming as most Barley Wines I’ve had. This one is pretty subtle but drinkable. Pretty good overall.

Draught at TBBC. Sweet caramel malts, surprisingly hoppy aroma for a barleywine. Very clear amber with steady, patchy white head and decent lacing. Very creamy palate.

Aroma is not very strong, but this barley wine is smooth and delicious. Really quite beautiful.
