(On tap) Beautiful, clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Alcoholic, caramelish nose. Full malty feel, full body with some caramel. Extremely alcoholic finish and a marked hoppiness that lacks some sophistication. 040406

Vibrant orangey-amber with a thin head. The aroma is largely caramelly with light orchard fruit esters. Sweet, leaning towards bubblegummy with papaya hop and a stiff shot of alcohol in the finish that ultimately fails to cut the heavy sweetness.

On tap at the brew pub. Poured a medium copper/amber color with an off white head. Aromas and tastes of citrus, grapefruits and caramel. Sweet and malty with some hops at the end.

On tap at the brewpub 1/1/07: Pours a transparent copper mahogany with a ring of wispy off-white head. Aroma has some rich caramel and light fruity character. Body starts sweet and caramely malty, thinning slightly toward a warming finish. Not much hops, so I’m assuming this is an English-styled barleywine.

Cask... Hazy, apricot-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Cirrus lacework. Toffee, caramel and grapefruit nose. Decently balanced between the alcohol, hops and malt. Nice, warming booze hits the stomache softly. Full-bodied and creamy with very soft carbonation. Lengthy, alcoholic, bitter-sweet finish.

Draft at brewpub. Poured a copper color with a medium white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Good balanced malt and hopd aroma. Medium body. Heavy hoppy flavor with a more balnced sweet finish.
