Very sweet floral and citrus nose to it, and the same comes through in the taste. The ABV is hidden rather well, and the palate is not dominated by either the alcohol of a bitterness but a small blend of both. And it helps that they served it to me in a trappist-style glass, and not a standard pint.

First Barley-Wine I’ve ever tried and I loved it. Smells and looks great. The flavour is outstanding with a hint of caramel. It goes down smooth and leaves a wonderful after-taste. Highly recommend.

Sampled at St Pete Creative Loafing Beerfest. Very tasty and hoppy but with a nice overall balance.

Didn't expect much from a barleywine in a hot-weather town like Tampa, but was pleasantly surprised. Copper-gold color. Nose very hoppy, lots of pine and fruit, announces itself as part of the Bigfoot barleywine family pretty aggressively. Amazingly well-masked, no hint whatsoever of a nearly 10% abv. Nice and rich, very bready, with loads of piney and perfumed hops.

Pours amber with a nice head. Aroma is strong with pine and fruit. Flavor was big. A little sweet with caramel. Finish was pine hops and alcohol. Mouthfeel was full. A nice brew.

Tap at the brewery. Pours to a deep maple syrup colored body with a really long lasting creamy off-white with a yellowish tinge head. The flavor has a strawberry hop thing going on with a sweet barley flavor. Very smooth for a 10% beer. Malty and velvety. Rich. The aroma is much like the flavor in that the strawberries are there with a cereal grain. Very drinkable given the alcohol content. I’d end up in trouble if drinking full glasses of it. Long lingering sweetness.

Clear amber body with creamy off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some berry, light caramel. Taste is sweet, berry, grapefruit, medium alcohol. Moderately full body, light acidity.
