Aroma has a fresh citrusy hoppy character and a touch of toasty pale malt. Body starts mildly sweet and pale malty with a touch of caramel, some grainy flavor, and an earthy bittersweet finish. Could use more flavor hops. hopscotch (5510), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 3, 2005 Draft... This beer rocks!...Sparkling clear amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. Nice lacework. Tons of grapefruit in the nose and flavor. Just a hint of pine. Nicely balanced. Malty, but also moderately bitter. Medium-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter-sweet finish. Either this beer is a bit underrated or this batch was particularly good. Very nicely made, West coast IPA! Tmoney99 (4773), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured a clear amber color with a medium white head that was lastin and as all the other TBB brews produced good lacing. Heavy hoppy aroma. Medium body. Full hoppy flavor with a medium bitter finish. Very good brew, I had two. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Tap at brewery: Clean golden hue with very good head and lace. The aroma has notes of herbal and grassy hops, hint of pine, slight pepper, bready malts, mango and pear esters, band-aid and catty as well. The taste is bitter and has slight acidity over a base of bready grains and a hint of hop spice upon the finish. The mouth feel is sharp and refreshing, dry metallic finish. Serviceable but needs more kick.
