Commercial Description:
Brewed as a traditional India Pale Ale. A highly hopped, medium-bodied, higher alcohol ale. This is a true hop-head beer. Generous portions of Northern Brewer, Centennial and Cascade hops complete this beer.

Better at the brewery than the GABF, where I first had it. Hazy light amber. Spicy hop nose with orangey, grapefruity notes. Rich creamy body and insistent hop bitterness. Wood & citrus goodness. Very dry. Delicious.

On tap at the brewpub 1/1/07: Pours a transparent bright copper bronze with a well-lacing white head. Aroma has a fresh citrusy hoppy character and a touch of toasty pale malt. Body starts mildly sweet and pale malty with a touch of caramel, some grainy flavor, and an earthy bittersweet finish. Could use more flavor hops.

Draft... This beer rocks!...Sparkling clear amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. Nice lacework. Tons of grapefruit in the nose and flavor. Just a hint of pine. Nicely balanced. Malty, but also moderately bitter. Medium-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter-sweet finish. Either this beer is a bit underrated or this batch was particularly good. Very nicely made, West coast IPA!

Draft at brewpub. Poured a clear amber color with a medium white head that was lastin and as all the other TBB brews produced good lacing. Heavy hoppy aroma. Medium body. Full hoppy flavor with a medium bitter finish. Very good brew, I had two.

Tap at brewery: Clean golden hue with very good head and lace. The aroma has notes of herbal and grassy hops, hint of pine, slight pepper, bready malts, mango and pear esters, band-aid and catty as well. The taste is bitter and has slight acidity over a base of bready grains and a hint of hop spice upon the finish. The mouth feel is sharp and refreshing, dry metallic finish. Serviceable but needs more kick.
