The flavor is bitter and malty. The palate is good for the style. This beer is strong but good. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 21, 2005 Kudos’ to David and Brandon for brewing up a massive dose of hops! Poured a shiny copper body and a full cap of white head. The aroma and flavor are extraordinarily bright with fresh green hops. Not in the wet freshly picked notion of fresh, but more in the fashion young and still forceful. There are insanely large notes of grapefruit and pinesap here. It’s akin to someone trying to smother you with a pillow full of hop pellets. There is a light notion of caramel and a light yeasty hint in the middle of the experience, but it is mainly a menacingly delectable treat of hop fusion…. Which is what this State Needs to help wake up these poorly brewed and tasteless Light Ale and skunky Lager drinkers! BrockLanders (750), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 20, 2005 On tap at the brewery....flat out, the hoppiest ale I’ve ever had. Translucent gold-amber with a nice firm off-white head. Nose is hops...it’s as if I was breathing straight from the hop bag just before I dump them into the homebrew wort. Big Cascade up the nose! The flavor was nearly identical, offering an intense hop bitterness. Once it warmed a bit I was able to sense some maltiness, but it was way in the background. The alcohol makes itself known, but in a very acceptable fashion. I wish the mouthfeel was fuller, thicker. Due to my affinity for hops I came away really likeing this, but from a style perspective it comes up a little short. A very tasty I2PA that just doesn’t measure up to the best examples of the style. Having said that---well, I’d still go back for more! Thanks matta for the recommendation. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

Aromas and tastes of citrus and malts. Caramel in the taste as well. Nice sweet to bitter balance. Decent IIPA.
