Commercial Description:
An American amber ale crafted by using the finest American pale 2 row malt available, combined with Munich malt, Crystal malt and a small amount of roasted barley for its trademark redish hue. The ale is then seasoned with Columbus boiling hops, plus Cascade and Tettnang for flavor and aroma.

Tap at brewery: Amber hue with a good head and lace. The aroma has notes of soapy and musty wet grains, caramel, floral hops and is quite weak. The taste starts sweet and fruity with a caramel malt character, not much depth. The mouth feel is soft and thin. This beer is blah and paint-by-numbers amber ale, don’t waste your time.

Draft. Red-mahogony beer with an off-white head. Light caramel, light roast aroma. Malt, slight roast, nutty flavor with hops in the background. Medium bodied. Lingering chalky roast over caramel malt and a bit of citrus/floral hops.

On tap at TBBC. Pours a golden amber with a creamy lacing off white head. Aroma of toasted grains, toffee, a touch of roast and fresh hops. Flavors of the same a nice citrus/toasty mix.

At TBBC. Amber pour with tinges of gold gooey white head and lace. Hints of hops on the aroma but the nose is dominated by the sweet maltiness. Flavor is almost mediciney with hints of malt. Solid mouthfeel and carbonation from a medium bodied amber ale. A pretty good amber ale with a surprising bitter finish.

Red-amber body, small white head. Aroma is hoppy and sweet. Flavor has a good dose of grapefruity hoppiness and some sweet malts as well. Finishes dry and somewhat tart. Another good brew from TBBC.

Amber in color. Aroma: caramel, light grapefuit and floral hops and some toasted malt. Taste: is well attenuated, with grapefruit, caramel, fresh bread, toasted malt. A moderate amount of roast comes through in the flavor late, providing some additional complexity to an otherwise dull style. Another clean, well made beer from TBBC.

[935-20071206] Tap @ Tampa Bay Brewpub (Tampa, FL). Citrus grains aroma. Clear, amber brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Hoppy grains continues in flavour. Medium body. Interesting hoppy brew.
