Commercial Description:
An American amber ale crafted by using the finest American pale 2 row malt available, combined with Munich malt, Crystal malt and a small amount of roasted barley for its trademark redish hue. The ale is then seasoned with Columbus boiling hops, plus Cascade and Tettnang for flavor and aroma.

Tap. Pours a clear amber with a small short lived head that leaves minimal lacing. Light aroma of caramel malt with a hint of citrus and floral hops. Taste is slightly sweet caramel malt, light citrus, and a hint of roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Mild but good

Pours a clear deep copper with almost frothy like tan head. Excellent lacing. The weak aroma starts off with sugary malt sweetness followed by caramelized malts. The aroma is just too light. I can hardly really smell anything. The taste starts mild and neutral. The beer is too cold at this point. Then semi sweet roasted malts enter the picture along with a hint of astringency. Also I get a mild hop bitterness in the background. As it reaches room temperature a mild malty fruitiness wells up from the depths. Overall a mild tasting brew.

Draught at brewpub. Dry, malty nose. Clear red amber with an off-white head. EXCELLENT lace as is the case for virtually all Tampa brews. Nice color. Reasonable character. Has a backbone. Starts weaker, then raises its hand to be counted. Seems a little contrived. Relatively dry and malty although has some good balance. A touch tinny.

Draft at the brewpup. Pours a brilliant red with a creamy, off white head. Aromas of malt, citrus and hops. Went into this one dreading it because of the Cascade hops, but I was surprised. Some part of the brew kept them hidden enough for me to enjoy. Wouldn’t drink a full glass of it, but not bad in the sampler tray.

On tap at the brewpub in Ybor City (Tampa). Light amber pour with a white head that leaves good lacing. Nutty aroma. Flavor has some caramel, toffee and a nutty back end. Clean mouthfeel. Very decent.
