Commercial Description:
An American amber ale crafted by using the finest American pale 2 row malt available, combined with Munich malt, Crystal malt and a small amount of roasted barley for its trademark redish hue. The ale is then seasoned with Columbus boiling hops, plus Cascade and Tettnang for flavor and aroma.

Not a red ale fan, pours a very dark red almost brown color thin head. Very bitter and hoppy but with a slight chocolate malt flavor, but just too hoopy and bitter the whole time.

More like an IPA. Very tasty. Ruby body with off-white/creamy head. Sweet taste balanced nicely by big hop punch. Smooth finish. Sampled on draught at Tampa Bay Brewing Co in Ybor City, FL

Pours a red amber color with a small white head. Aroma is caramel with some light hop notes. Flavor is caramel sweetness with some citrusy hops coming through. Medium bodied and quite smooth. Good for the style.

A very run of the mill amber ale, drinkable yet not memorable as this style tends to be

Great color, clean kind of sweet smell. Very easy to drink, with substance and a little bite on it. definitely steps above Bass.

Draft at Tampa Bay Brewing. An average sized ivory head that was creamy and smooth with fine-large sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The body was uncarbonated and transparent with an orange hue. The nose was malty and hoppy with a bitter and hoppy taste. The mouthfeel was bitter and hoppy and this was a medium bodied beer with excellent lacing on the sides of my glass.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 86. This draft brew was sampled at the brewery in Tampa Florida and was served to us by Jim McCann the brewer and Vicky Owen the owner. This brew poured a large head of foamy fine to large sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent red brown colored softly carbonated body and a good lace. The aroma was that of a mild malt hop and the mouthfeel was initially biting and lingered into the finish. It had a mild caramel malt hop flavor.

Amber. Great nose, hugely malty, big caramel/toffee character. Flavor is very malty and rich, lots of butterscotch. Some earthiness gives good depth. Hops at end give a good balancing nip. Nice palate, creamy and full, nicely sticky in the mouth.
