Commercial Description:
An exceptionally light colored ale fermented at lower than normal temperatures for a smooth, clean finish. You can expect a light bodied ale with a slight hop nose. This is in the style of a Kolsch that originated in Koln, Germany.

On tap at the brewpub in Tampa Bay. Poured a clear pale gold color with a two finger white head. The aroma was grainy with lemons and citrus present. The body was thin, but the flavor was supprisingly bitter. A grassy/earthy finish lingered for a while on the palate.

Sample @ brewpub. Pale blonde with thick white head and lacing. Bland lageresque aroma. Hay, grass. Unexciting but clean. Smooth, drinkable, sweet, dry finish. Some nice cereal notes but boring.

Draft at the brewpub. Light gold with a thin white head. Smells of grains and lemon. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy and floral with a nice bit of bitterness. A decent blond, better than most of this style.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden straw color with a minimal, fizzy white head. No lacing noted. The simple aroma shows notes of fresh wheat and cereal grains, surprisingly ample floral hops, and just a faint hint of sweet pale malts. Flavors, too, are well balanced, starting out grainy, with a touch of corn sweetness, and transitioning into a sharp, floral, hoppy finish. Light on body, but well carbonated and easy to drink and quite crisp. Decent little summertime session brew.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a straw gold with a thin white head. Slightly skunky malt aroma. Crisp malt and slightly bitter hop taste. Seemed a little generic and not as tasty as I wanted it to be.

Tap at the brewery. Light pale gold body with a nice white head and really nice lacing. The flavor is pale malts and a crisp saaz hop. Perhaps a little Tettenang too? The aroma is really light. Some noble hops. A nice blonde/pilsener, but didn’t remind me of a Kölsch.

On tap at the brewery on 4/5/08. Pours a clear bonde with thin white head. Aroma was faint but consisted of grass, hops, perhaps lemon. Tasted about the same with a little bread and fresh spice with a quick and watery finish.
