Had on tap at the brewpub. This is the beefed up version of the Redeye, and let me tell you it was a treat. Poured amber with a ruby red glow and an off white head. Aroma was sweet citrus notes and gummi worms. The citrus was mostly orange complimented by good hop character. Flavor was heavily malted with good orange citrus character. Sweet orange with hints of lemon provided a 3F Brian Boru taste. Milky and malty. Just pure quality.

Draft... This beer rocks!... Clear, deep copper ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Tons of caramel, toffee and grapefruit in the nose. Huge flavor with intense bitterness stacked upon a sturdy caramel malt foundation. Very malty-sweet, but even more so bitter. Malt! Malt! Malt! HOPS! HOPS! HOPS!... with a strong suggestion of alcohol. Thick-bodied and syrupy with moderate carbonation. Lengthy, sweet and then bitter-warming-dry finish. Straight forward; not complex; intense. World class brew!

Draft... Crystal clear, copper ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Thick, cumulus lace. The nose is of caramel, citrus fruit, and pineapple with a whisper of juniper. Well-balanced. Big malt, but big hops to match. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter then forever dry finish. Well done!

Draft - Deep amber, creamy white head. This one bellowed out aromas of sweet grapefruit, orange zest, rich caramel, pine, with a slight hint of pineapple. Huge sweet malt backbone is interwoven nicely with the piney / citric hops. Full bodied, prickly carbonation, bitter dry finish. Great brew....

This beer kind of reminded me of Terrapin Red Hoppy Monster. It has nice hop flavor with a bit of thickness to the mouthfeel. Malt and hops abound with a smooth, yet dry finish. One of the best at TBBC.

This is a monster of a beer! The body is a robust amber hue and the head is a fluffy white mound. The aroma and flavor first hint towards a massive dosing of malt. Large notes of caramel, plums, pears, and hints of brown sugar, followed up with a great citrus orangey-ness, plus hints of red apple & smaller notes of pineapple. This was a tremendous balance of malt and hops… I truly enjoyed partaking in this syrupy but drinkable hop creation!

Tap at the brewery. Significantly darker than the standard Redeye. The lacing is better and the head color is off-white. More hops show up in the aroma. Maltier and more robust too. This beer is what the stock version should be. Nice bitterness and medium body. A totally different experience!

Had this back in mid June and it seems very much like an alias for Two Red Eyes.

Poured up in a goblet glass with deep amber body and thin dark tan head. The aroma is caramel mixing with malt along with mild pine hops and faint floral and spice hoppiness. The taste is full and rich malts to start creating a lip smackin’ chewy maltiness couple with cherry, apricot and plum fruity esters. I also get a note of caramel that shows up about midway and joined by a growing level of pine hop bitterness. As the finish approaches most of the caramel and maltiness drops off leaving a pine hop and floral to spice hop bitterness behind. There is a roasty component that hangs on into the after taste. A hint of oxidation also showed up from time to time too. Tasty chewy brew.

Served up in a goblet at the brewery. Pours a crystal clear amber with lasting quarter inch tan head. Nice lacing too. The aroma is sweet like hard sugary caramel candy and also creamy soft velvety caramel candy. Overall the aroma is on the light side. Big caramel candy taste that jumps out first. Then can sugar seems to build some distracting from the experience. There’s also a pine hop bitterness that cuts through the sweet caramelly malts creating a nice balance. If they had this as a standard tap offering I’d drink some at every visit.

On tap at the brewpub in Ybor City. Dark amber pour with a decently thick off-white head that leaves a nice coat of lacing. Musky aroma with some brown sugar and pine sap. Served at room temperature, which is appropriate. Flavor has some brown sugar, maple syrup, hint of nectarines, and a wee bit of citrus to keep it honest. Nice, thick, rich mouthfeel. Enjoyed this one.
