On tap at the brewpub 1/1/07: Pours a cloudy pale golden with a frothy, well-lacing white head. Nice banana and mild citrus wheaty aroma. Body starts with pleasant malted wheat and clove spice balanced with a mild, authentic German hoppy bitterness and bready yeasty character. A good Hefeweizen.

Draft... Murky straw-colored ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. Spicy, fruity nose with notes of Bazooka® bubblegum, lemon, under ripe banana, smoke and lots of clove. The flavor is mainly tart with lemon and quite spicy with a heavy clove phenol. Medium-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and restrained carbonation. Tangy, spicy finish.

on tap-pours a retaining thin white head and straw color. Aroma is banana/clove, secondary wheat, spicy hops. Taste is banana/clove, wheat, spicy hops. Light body. Comes across as a cross between a Hefe and a Pilsner.

Tap at brewery: Slight hazed golden hue with an okay head. The aroma has notes of banana, clove, bubblegum, wheat, butterscotch, and musty esters. The taste has twangy tropical fruits, mild grains, and slight spice finish. The mouth feel is refreshing and soft. Quaffable and met my expectations.

Enjoyed on-tap at the brewpub. Above-average, creamy mouthfeel, a lacey hefy with a wheat aroma. Cloudy bananna colour. Cloves. Suitable carbonation, though it is above average.
