Commercial Description:
This is a traditional German wheat beer made using 60% German Wheat and 40% German Pilsner malt. The distinction is in the aroma and flavor clove / banana in the nose, slight sourness in the flavor. There are three versions of this weizen brewed yearly.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma was HUGE banana, malts, yeast, and some clove. Very powerful aroma. Flavor was banana bread and cloves. The yeast and malt combined with the banana made it taste like banana bread. Very good hefe.

On hand pull (cask conditioned): This beer was really cloudy, even for a weiss. And EXTREMELY citrusy. I took one sip of the beer, then offered a sip to my drinking buddy, saying "Lemon Juice?" But the citrus mellowed out a little, and I started really enjoying it. Damn good.

Pours cloudy with a golden hue and a decent head. Notes of coriander and banana with a palate that shows cloves, coriander, and fruit. The finish has legs. One of my favorite year round beers from TBBC.

Good beer; comparable to the Hoegaardedn they also had on tap. Respectable in color, aroma has lots of grassy, citrusy, spicey character while the beer is naturally a cloudy golden color. There is honey taste hidden in the aroma and the finish, even though it finishes slightly dry. A good TBBC beer.

Pours a cloudy, light pale gold, with a small white head. Nice lacing left on the glass. Very sharp spicy citrus aroma, some nutmeg, wheat, and orange all seem to mesh pretty well here. Good start. The taste seems to be really well balanced with a good dose of some banana, wheat, and spices. The nutmeg really shows up in the finish and lingers in the aftertaste. i thought this was a really well done German wheat beer. Bravo.

Hazy Blonde/Golden in color. Aroma is banana esters/bubblegum, clove, and a nice dose of wheat. Taste is a nice balance between banana and clove, with a creamy body that makes this balanced and very easy to drink. Finishes spicy with lingering fruity esters and a good amount of wheat tang.

Aroma is sweet and flowery. Appears yellow to amber but not completely clear. Has a nice flavor and very smooth on the palate. I like it! Overall a very nice weizen!
