Chrism86 (91), Melbourne, Australia Aug 25, 2008 Updated: Sep 12, 2008Poured hazy amber tending to bronze with a substantial loosely packed head that dispersed rather quickly. Aromas are reserved, dry grass seems dominant. Palate is a tad more complex. Some more dry earthy hop notes with hinting toffee from the darker malt. Finish is rather bitter and a tad astringent. Not a bad interpretation of the style. Kind of reminded me of hop back summer lightning, which isn’t a bad thing. gam (576), brisbane, Australia Jun 21, 2008 Large frothy head on an orange coloured ale, good carbonation.Aroma citrus and stonefruit(peach).Flavour grapefruit, pear apple(sweet)interesting taste.bitter is good an ale that flavours go together well.Finish bitter dry. sinkas (175), Perth/Fremantle, Australia Jun 27, 2007 (Bottle, from Brewery) Overall acceptable English style pale ale, some of the bottles appear to have some hints of infection. More woody bitterness than pleasant hop flavour a problem bluevegie (1772), Perth, Australia Mar 11, 2007 Bronze coloured body with short off-white head. Malty nose. English hops in the taste, light to medium body, not a lot of backbone but easy to drink. beer229 (3), Perth, Australia does not count Oct 27, 2006 This is the best English Pale Ale brewed in Australia. The Brewery has not been opened long. I was there about 6 weeks ago and meet the brewer. Andrew Larsen is a young New Zealander who set the brewery up and created the beers. Having meet him in person and picked his brains, I can tell why he has created such a good beer. Well done, keep the good work up.
