Pale, clear and still. The bottle has a very faint blue tinge about it which is weird. Smells pretty bad (like the time I fermented the juice of canned pears and apricots) - very headache-inducing with pannetone, mandarin, sultanas, loads of alcohol and some sulfur. Smells very young, and the sultanas kinda remind me of Sam Smith’s Imperial Stout, but it really did smell quite disturbing. Tastes ridiculously sweet. There’s some alcoholic harshness under there but it’s well hidden behind the sickly sweetness. Frankly it’s so sweet I can’t even see a Strongbow drinker liking it. It really does pain me to rate this so low, as it’s really good to see a small concern having a crack at making some interesting cider (I even held off adding my rating of this until I had tried their other cider in the hope that it would be good and I wouldn’t look like a complete arsehole. Lucky for me it was good!)
