trevor211 (106), Seattle, Washington, USA May 11, 2008 Updated: Jul 2, 2008 Pours far too light for an amber, and tastes accordingly. Light honey-orange with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is metallic, citrusy hops - almost along the lines of an energy drink. Flavor adds green peppers and light malts to the weak hops, and accents its watery palate. Not good stuff.
Butters (422), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 22, 2008 Clear applejiuce pour with thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is grainy. A little sour/bitter flavor. Some malt. A slight bit of hop bitterness comes out in the finish. Didn’t care for this one bit, but it was cheap. SpringsLicker (1824), Tennessee, USA Aug 18, 2008 Tall white head over a clear medium amber body.
Slightly sour acidic aroma.
Slightly sweet with a bit of dry tartness at the end.
$5.99 at Kroger. jordanb (19), Virginia, USA Aug 9, 2008 Poured at about 41 degrees. The beer is a nearly transparent orange color with a slightly dull white head. The rich, slightly sticky palate and subtly hopped bite yield very nicely to a honey-like aftertaste. A bit mild for an ale. It’s nothing special but very drinkable -- a good go-to amber. carruthm (431), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 27, 2008 caramel elements and sugary malts but very little hops that would help balance out this brew jcdsmack (46), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jul 17, 2008 This beer is so malty sweet, it’s like a pale ale in sweetness and caramel but has very little hops to balance it out. think domestic macro with a bunch of sugar in it. I don’t know exactly what it is if it’s corn sugar or honey or whatever but its just way too sweet with no balance at all. Probably doesn’t help that my friend and I tried it betweeen well hopped german style homebrew and guiness.
