Tapps McGuire Irish Stout

Draft as Shamrock Stout. Dark brown-black body with a small creamy off-white/khaki head.Muted aroma has tiniest hints of roast and malt. Very dilute roasty bitterness, thin watery malt is not unpleasant but quite bland. Creamy light palate is fairly thin for a stout. Roast gains prominence in the flavour as it warms, as well as a trace hint of smoke character.

Creamy, roasted chocolate and hop aroma. Nice head and whatnot. Somewhat lacking in the thickness department..Even worse than the frosted glass, I saw some patrons being served draughts in plastic too the day I was there!!!!

Had to ask that the glass not be frosted. Black w/ reddish hue. Good head & decent lacing. Not overly aromatic: notes of coffee, chocolate, & something I can’t intentify (shrug). Medium body, slightly chewy. Subtle flavours: coffee, chocolate, licorice, prunes. Nice dry finish. Again, this beer has potential but falls short.
