Commercial Description:
Biere de Garde mean "beer to keep or to store." It is a farmhouse ale from French Flanders in the northeast and was brewed in the spring and consumed throughout the summer. Medium- to full-bodied, amber in color, a bit earthy, a touch acidic, and very drinkable.

On tap. Clear, deep golden with an off-white head. Interesting aroma of caramel and - surprisingly - a little licorice. Medium body, caramel, yeast and spices. The finish is dry. 060709

On tap in Brea, nice amber pour, nice complexities of flavor and aroma. It’s a very tasty beer.

On tap, then got a growler filled. Nice easy drinking beer. Good color of amber and deep orange. Mild banana and vanilla aroma, with a slightly sweet flavor. Certainly worth trying. I always get a growler filled of something while I’m in that area.

On tap at Taps. Color was golden amber with a white head and some lacing. Aroma of caramel apples, vanill and sugar. Very nice. flavor of yeast, apple, bubblegum with a bit of alcohol and bread. Like most of their beers, this was solid to good for the style.

ON tap at brewery. Cloudy brownish yellow with a creamy white head. Grain, straw, and barn yard funk aroma. Earthy, fruity, citrus taste, smooth bright and mildly sticky mouth feel with a crisp dry finish.
