Feb 4, 2009 On tap at Taps. Color was dark, reddish brown. Aroma of dark fruit, banana, sweet malt and must. Flavor was a bit strange. Only a slight sweetness. Flavor of earthy, caramel, and fruit. Some sweet malt and toffee.

Jan 23, 2008 Tasted at brewery. Mohogany color; nice, lasting head. Aroma and taste of rich, sweet, full body with roasted malts, molassas, caramel, toffee, spices. I was told 7.6%. Decent but more sweet than complex like a Salvator.

Jan 10, 2003 I was looking forward to this one and I have to say I’m a little disappointed.Dark brown pour. Flavor is a sweet and malty with some kind of spicy (clove/nutmeg) notes. The abv is well hidden and there is a slight hop bite near the finish.
