Big banana and spice nose/flavor with some bubble gum in there also.Very good beer. Re-rate 6/27/03. This is a fine example of a classic hefe. Poured a friend from Germany 6-7 of these tonight and had as many myself. Both of us agreed that regardless of where we were this was an excellent rendition. Huge Banana and clove profile. As it warmed the Bubble gum aspects started to come to the front. Tart yet fully drinkable. Full bodied but light and not filling. Great summer brew. JohnC (2285), Mission Viejo, California, USA

Aroma is very authentic with lots of sweet banana and clove with a touch of lemony citrus. Body starts with nice wheaty, bready, and yeasty sweetness balanced with a touch of tartness and noble hoppiness in the smooth, crisp, bittersweet finish. A very good example of the style, especially from an American brewer. badlizard (2370), Berkeley, California, USA

Wonderful banana and clove, almost like a Belgian tripel ultra light in many ways. Maybe I am overrating since I hoofed it 3 miles from the convention center down to the Edison field area for dinner and it really hit the spot unclebleen (620), California, USA
