This was the winner of the day. Big banana and spice nose/flavor with some bubble gum in there also.Very good beer. Re-rate 6/27/03. This is a fine example of a classic hefe. Poured a friend from Germany 6-7 of these tonight and had as many myself. Both of us agreed that regardless of where we were this was an excellent rendition. Huge Banana and clove profile. As it warmed the Bubble gum aspects started to come to the front. Tart yet fully drinkable. Full bodied but light and not filling. Great summer brew.

Pours a hazy golden bronze with a puffy white and thinly-lacing head. Aroma is very authentic with lots of sweet banana and clove with a touch of lemony citrus. Body starts with nice wheaty, bready, and yeasty sweetness balanced with a touch of tartness and noble hoppiness in the smooth, crisp, bittersweet finish. A very good example of the style, especially from an American brewer.

Pours an orange yellow with no head. Aroma is lots of banana and vanilla. Lots of fruity esters. Banana dominates but is accompanied by clove and vanilla. Moderate carbonation and a crisp finish with a lingering fruit. A really nice hefe.

By far the best Hef I have tried, not that I've tried a hell of a lot. Wonderful banana and clove, almost like a Belgian tripel ultra light in many ways. Maybe I am overrating since I hoofed it 3 miles from the convention center down to the Edison field area for dinner and it really hit the spot

Pours a nice amber/yellow color and is hazy. Aroma is banana and cloves...just like a hefe should be. Flavor is sweet at first and turns into a nice banana spicy finish. A good hefe.
