Jul 6, 2008 Out of the cask. I found the aroma the most elegant, because it was not only butterscotchy but plain buttery, which is hard to pull off in a dark beer. The flavor wasn’t nearly as well done: even on cask, the body came off watery and underroasted.

Feb 7, 2008 This is bottled? Ok. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Roasty sweet aroma. The flavor has lots of roast backed by nice mocha sweetness. A nice porter.

Nov 22, 2007 Bottle; poured a black color with a nice light brown head. Aroma was light with mostly cocoa and some light roasted elements. Flavor was much better; alot of coffee and roasted malt with chocolate accents. Soft on the palate. Pretty good version of the style.
