Rather weak aroma of caramel malt and hops. A touch of dark fruits. Fruity, malty flavor. Smooth, with dark fruits and some bitterness that is quite earthy. Slightly candy-like as well. Not really special or interesting, but quite drinkable and not really bad.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Jun 7, 2009 It poured a cloudy dark amber liquid with a big foam that left a nice lacing. The smell was a bit weak but I could sense malt, bread, hint of nuts, meath brooth and something sweet. It also had a weak taste with some malt, bread, hint of meat brooth and someting sweet. Easy to drink with a low bitterness. However slightly accidic at the end. caledonian (367), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Can. Pours a hazy amber with a frothy head. Malts dominate the aroma and flavor. Weird blend of sweet and sour. Boutip (2397), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 8, 2007 Can: Poured a medium amber color ale with a great white bubbly head with average retention. Aroma of light malt with some hints of sweetness. Taste is also comprised of semi-sweet malt with no hops discernable. Body is lightly creamy but overall this beer is really lacking in character. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 15, 2006 Amber brown, cream coloured head. Sweet candy honey aroma, bit of a strange note to it. Pleasant bitterness is a touch astringent and has a bit of the same strange character as the aroma. Light candy sweet orange and very astringent lemon. Average palate. Tough to tell if this is a bit off (I only got it a few weeks ago at the brewery) or it was just never in very good shape. Disappointing. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 16, 2006 Updated: Aug 20, 2007Bottle shared with and courtesy of Jerc, bought directly from the brewery a few weeks ago. Looks great - dark amber, orange glow, creamy still orange/white head. Sweet yet sour aroma - I’ve smelled this before, it is the smell of every average Ontario cream ale. Yeck. Sweet and sour taste - very astringent - something went wrong here, as there is a good hint of caramel in the body that totally gets covered up but an odd tang. This tang didn’t seem like an off tang, it was more like every average Ontario cream ale tang, and that is massively disappointing, as I head this wasn’t bad and I thought Ontario micro’s were moving past this stage. Yet this tells me many are still here; I’ll do everything I can to promote and encourage people to drink good Ontario micro’s, and that includes telling them to avoid this.
Update - I had this again on tap at the White Oaks Spa and Resort outside St. Catharines and my rating does not change - it was just as disappointing on tap as it was from the bottle. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 6, 2007 Can. Pours a dark copper body with a medium-sized creamy white head. Caramel and bread are predominant in the aroma. Sour fruit composition with strange spice and bread malts. Finishes with more of that sour fruit. Not that I was expecting more from a cream ale but I was sort of expecting something different than this. Mediocre. Bejaaamin (115), London, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 1, 2009 very hazy orange/light brown, massive head that lingers. apples, bread yeast, orange, somewhat unpleasant nose. something chemical. medium carbonation, weak flavour profile. mouthfeel is generally good, yet the flavours are really hampering this experiance for me. again something chemical, slightly metalic, apples. no, not at all digging this.
