Commercial Description:
Our newest product, Taps Red Cream Ale is beginning to rival our Premium Lager in popularity with our customers. It is a delicious, full-bodies ale with a clear, beautiful red colour. Cream ale is made by using ale yeast fermented and conditioned at colder temperatures. The colder temperature causes a slower, more gradual fermentation, resulting in a smoother flavour. Our Red Cream Ale has a full-bodies silky texture that is crisp and strong in flavour, with a fresh, clean finish.

Bottle. Amber ale with small ring on top, middle fizz. Aroma accented with light sugar candy and fruits. Thin front (body), strange flavours in the middle, malts, spice. I am not sure if this ale was planned to be like that. Poor.

Sweet malt nose, amber, tiny head, some fruity flavours, very sweet malt. Thin, too sweet to drink much of. Poor.

Orange/bronze in colour, very small white coloured head, very patchy light lacing. The aroma is very appley, quite sweet, some sourness. The flavour is fruity, lightly floral, some grains, high sweetness. Sweet mouthfeel, light body, medium/light carbonation. Fiishes sweet, lingering, late dryness.

Words can’t describe how boring this beer is.

Can. Fourth beer of the night for my own Swill (or almost swill) Fest. Pours a hazy orange-amber with a small diminishing off-white head. Mild aroma of sour apples, grain, sweet malt and...meh, I don’t know -- too sour and crappy. Flavour is also sour and grainy, almost astringent and harsh, along with some sugary sweetness. Light to average bodied. Man, this just isn’t good, I would think this is off but I just got this can a week ago. A typical awful Canadian Cream Ale.

Bottle (341ml). At BeerBistro, 2006 Golden Tap Awards. Interesting colour - bright clear apricot, pretty much no head. Sour grainy aroma, ugh, really put me off. Taste was sour malt, wispy stale dry dead grass hops, and nasty green persimmon sourness in the finish. Weak body, acidic, nasty aftertaste - ugh, no thanks, tally up my vote as "no"

473 ml can - pours a deep bronze with a two-finger, fast-diminshing off-white head. Aroma both sweet malts and a strange sourness, almost like sour grapes. Odd. Flavour kind of grape-y as well, with some sweet malts in the background and a quick dry finish. Kind of tastes like drinking a very light red wine that is carbonated and has gone off. I ended up dumping the last third. Not something I would get again. There are far superior Ontario beers for anyone to waste their time on this one.

Starts off kind of a cute cottage beer - cheery orange-red pour, forward flavors and aromas of slighly tangy ale-fruits and fresh yeast. Nods to english style. Caramelly. Turns kind of malt-extract-like later in the glass, with a clingy sweetness that wrecks the finish a little. Feels a bit soapy, the hops don’t express well. Under-attenuated sugars? A little bit Home-kit like. Not a repeat. Is cute to look at though.
