Apr 16, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 12/3/06: Pours a viscous dark copper amber with a thin ring of off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramely German malt and some doughy notes. Body starts with a mostly full sweet caramel malty flavor turning slightly drier and grainy toward a blander finish. Fairly true to style but uninteresting.

Feb 8, 2007 Poured a clear chestnut color with a small off-white head. The sweet aroma had notes of dark fruits and a hint of chocolate. Some toasty notes as well. Light alcohol. the flavor was lightly fruity with some notes of bubble gum, but this was fairly light.
