Bottle, 330ml, bottle-conditioned. A very cloudy golden colour with no head. Sweet aromas of barley, honey, yeast and citrus. The taste is really sour and the sourness hits you as soon as it touches your lips. Tastes strongly of sage, lemon and grapefruit with a hint of barley. A sweet and sour finish. Very light carbonation (I suspect it hasn’t bottle conditioned, despite being given adequate time to do so). How can you rate something derived from a unique blend of herbs, since you don’t know how it’s supposed to taste....? Anyway, if you like sour ales (I don’t) then you’ll love this. For me, this was an experience worth having but not one I’d care to repeat.
