Cask gravity at the Abbotskerswell Beer and Food Festival, 07/10/2006. An amber colour with a small head. A floral hop aroma. A hoppy taste with caramel. The typical Tarka citric sourness in the finish. Pretty average. Aroma: 5, Appearance: 3, Flavour: 5, Palate: 3, Overall: 14.

Bottle, 500ml, bottle-conditioned. A dark amber colour with a few whisps of head. Aroma is dominated by caramel with some hops and malt. Taste is strong caramel with a lot of malt and a little hoppiness. In the finish, a light lemon and lime fruit flavour appears seemingly from nowhere to lighten-up this otherwise fairly sweet and heavy brew. There’s also some floral hop in the finish as well. Moderate carbonation. Seems somewhat better than when I previously had it in cask form.
