wxman (483), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Aug 25, 2008 Pours a clear pale golden with some white short-lived head. Very mild malt aroma. Taste is sweet malt, some vegital character and mild hops. Thirstquenching, but uninteresting.
Tmoney99 (3740), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 30, 2008 Bottle from World of Beer, Clearwater, FL.
Poured clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate grass and grain aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration.
My expectations where not met. nick76 (2118), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2008 The aroma is very true to type with grainy malt and grassy almost herbal hops. The appearance is pale gold with an average head. The taste is also true to type and matches the aroma almost exactly. The aftertaste is clean. The palate is thin but OK for the style. Overall it’s a pretty average beer but not "Beer With Character." JPDIPSO (4344), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Nov 20, 2008 Golden color with a somewhat wispy off white head. Eye opening aromas in that I was expecting the typical Euro lager scent with industrial malt and some alcohol. Instead, I am greeted by mild honey and pale malt mixed with pleasant sweet floral aromas. Great aromas... no, but certainly a better scent than many polish lager. Very heavy, nearly cloying feel. Pale malt and a sweet biscuit flavor in the front. Some floral hops in the middle. A bit of alcohol in the in the finish and linger. A mild citric bite in the linger as well. A fall day kind of brew. dm9831 (706), Monee, USA Nov 18, 2008 according to the label, this is "truly polish" and a "beer with character". clear gold color, slight white head, some lacing. nose of grain and corn and hops. flavor is grainy, with the sweetness of the corn being nicely offset by the bitterness of the hops. the mouth feel is a bit too fizzy, and the finish is dry. i enjoyed the beer, but a touch to fizzy to be a truly good beer. my label describes this as a 6% abv variety. from a single bottle purchased at ’binny’s beverage depot’ in orland park. JohnBarleycorn (384), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2008 Can. Medium-gold body; head quickly morphs from a soapy foam to absolutely nothing. Grainy nose accented by an unpleasant cleaning fluid undertone. Nice palate features good warmth and slightly gritty texture. Fairly rich flavour includes grain, wood, hops and carrot with a plush malt finish. A touch of bitterness would have rounded things out better but okay as is.
