jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Aug 9, 2009 Can. Pours an orange body with no head. Aroma is apple spice. Taste is smooth with a slight hint of spice. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 13, 2009 [2171-20090519] 500mL can. Mild stinky socks aroma has some cardboard, sand and grass notes. Clear, medium orange brown body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Mild apple juice flavour. Watery light body seems flat with a mild tang. Seems overly water, not offensive exactly but nothing much there either.
(from Dunnes Stores; Ennystimon, Ireland; w/ jerc) jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 29, 2009 2009-05-19. Dark yellow-amber body. Mild aroma has light musty touches, bit of feet. Sweet overall, apple juice character, bit of a rough dry finish, sweet cider and juice is the core of the flavour. Average palate, touch thin. Meh. Can from Dunnes, Ennis KimJohansen (6645), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden with tiny white head. Sweet with artificial apples. Awfull. cellar (483), Dublin, Ireland Jul 12, 2008 ligth amber, short lastinghead, notes of artificial apples, very sweet adn watery finish scotty (828), Scotland Mar 24, 2008 Ok, this was never going to be the best cider I’d ever tasted, but for the money (£1.79 for 2 litres, Somerfield) I cant really complain, I had it chilled, it was refreshing, and while the apple aromas and flavours didn’t jump out the glass at me, it wasn’t THAT objectionable either. dbarf (8), Lancaster, England does not count Apr 17, 2006 I had this from a can (in a glass I’m not a savage!) and it was reasonable value.
I think there are better ciders in the price range and much better ciders if you raise your sights up a little.
As with al cheap cider it is greatly improved if you spice it up with a little ginger wine. leaparsons (4655), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Sep 25, 2005 Too big bottle. Golden with no head. Aromas are sour and quite harsh, with apple and chemicals. Flavours are dry in a chemical fashion with artificially sweet apple. Pretty bad.
