Walt (2268), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 15, 2008 Pour is black with a thin tan head...smell is lightly roasty...very thin and sweet mouthfeel and flavor...surprise: blech... ElGaucho (1721), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Nov 11, 2006 Sweet roasted malt aroma with coffee notes. Opaque black color with a tan head the color of Guinness. Immediately detected something off in the flavor. Detergent, thin, tainted. Cornfield (4255), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Oct 29, 2006 This had a deep brown, thick pour with very little of a tan head. The aroma was smoky and sweet, roasty, a touch of maple and a daub of chocolate. Watery, to be sure. Light roasted malt flavor with a slightly sour nip in the finish. The brewer must’ve been angry with his papa.

frankenkitty (1789), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 10, 2006 Pours deep ruby/black with a thin, tan skin & halo. Possesses the requisite Taylor butterscotch/diacetyl aromas along with some mild cocoa notes. Flavor finds roasty, almost smoky malts with an annoying presence of vinegar. Weak & thin. My "papa" would’ve boxed my ears if I served him one of these.

Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Jul 14, 2004 Thick, dark, and sweet. One of my favorite local-brew stout/porters. Not much nose to it, though.
