gregl (2), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA does not count Nov 28, 2006 I had this on tap, took a growler home for further study and it fell out of the car and lost most of its head. Still, it was a favorful and plaesing beer, albeit sans carbonation. Cornfield (4255), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 18, 2006 With apologies, more or less, to Gary Taylor, who has this at the brewpub as one of the three (out of eight or so) beers that’s actually brewed on sight - - I should’ve rated this as a drainpour, totally, but I’m in a good mood (regardless of my needing a new ejector pump for the addition’s washroom) because of good vibes from non-beer related sources. It pours a clear, iced tea brown with a minimalist’s head. No lacing. The smell is of blueberries and a handful of mud. There’s a rusty malt somewhere beneath the heavy blueberry taste. Hard to recognize as a beer. Or as a fruit drink. Nice brewing facilities at the brewpub. I wish Gary would use them more wisely. Even the IPA, which I’d enjoyed in the past, has been dumbed down to the point that the hop bitterness wouldn’t wash the blueberry flavor away.
