Can (sampled: Tulum, Mexico 20.2.04)
Yellow lager color. Light malt. Watery = "light". Lacks sweetness of normal Tecate so better :)

Seltzer water! I only scored this one above a .5 because I just happen to like seltzer water and it doesn’t have enough flavor to actually be offensive. It went well with my combination platter # 15, but then again, so would have seltzer water. Here, let me go ahead and set the record for using the words "seltzer water" the most times in my comments. There you go. Oh, and did I mention seltzer water?

I’m sorry --- most Mexican beers are light enough. They’re refreshing warm weather drinks. This goes too far. Watered down and tasteless.

Can. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), trace hops (flowers), with a hint of lime zest. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Slightly better in aroma and flavor than the regular Tecate for the simple reason that there’s not as much to offend the nostrils or tongue.

Score. Medium yellowish body with a thin scum of a head. A little corny with some bologna. There is a light bell pepper with some banana peel. There is not much else to say about this light bodied brew. Decently made.

Light aroma of pale malt, and mayhap a hint of corniness; a little dusty. The color is light brassy gold, and the white head left when I turned my head. Thin to medium body, light, nearly creamy, carbonation. The flavor is substantial; a bit of bread, very light bitter, a touch sweet. Indeed it is not offensive, and it surpasses most American lights. It is a light beer with full taste. Just not my taste.

Can wow guess someone had trouble finding me a new rating. Haha pours a pale body with a white head. Corn syrup and a grainy buttery vegetative note but all very light. Thin and crisp ice cold. Junk.

(Canned 340 ml in Monterrey, Mexico on September 14 2005)
On restaurant "Monastrero"
Managed to have it before they mixed it with the lime juice, no idea what that would be good for?
Clear pale straw yellow color, white head. Not much goping on, a bit sweet and vegetable scent and taste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. Mainly very boring.
Perhaps it did get better with the lime? Nah, mostly went strange...
