Clear pae straw yellow color, white head. Malty and vegetable scent and taste. Medium low mouthfeel, rather low bitterness. The restaurant was very nice food wise, not so great beer wise. It is a crappy pale lager kind of day I guess. After the pour I noticed right away some signs of skunk. I am not sure how a canned product could actually develope a skunk aspect to it, but somehow those crafty Mexicans figured out a new way to make crappy beer, which I guess in itself is somewhat of an accomplishment. Flavour is startlingly ok. Very corny sweet with some, salt (?) adding a bizarre sense of balance that does not seem quite right? There is something weird in the aftertaste that is almost Belgian-like. Refreshingly not overly carbonated, again, an accomplishment considering the style/National peers in the beer world. Kind of a weird beer, but hey, I will take it today. The Imperial German-esque Eagle is a pretty bizarre choice for a logo, which mildly offends me as a history geek. Minus one point just for that. gerardoluna (195), Mexico

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 5, 2008 12oz can. Pours super pale yellow with a fizzy, white, sticky head, some lace. Smell grainy malty, light and crisp. Less sweet and corny than other macros. Tastes malty and grainy, slightly sweet. Thin body, crisp carbonation. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Sep 3, 2008 24 oz can. Classic macro clear gold body and fizzy white head. Aroma of nutra sweet over cream corn and wet bread. Luckily this beer has barely any flavor at all. Mostly watery bodied with slight fizzy carbonation. My first Mexican rating and God willing one of my last. ethomson (56), Huntington Beach, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 3, 2008 This beer lacks some major flavor, but, i’m pretty sure most of that is due to it’s lack of alcohol, which is pretty weak. This beer is thin, it’s watery, and it taste’s slightly sweet, like honey. It is very similar to drinking light beer, so I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s light counterpart taste like. Anyways, it’s worth drinking, it’s not as bad as people preceive it to be. If it had more alcohol content i’m sure it would be a little more of a favorite. Wow... quality comes with value this time ’round. Pours a thin, white frothy head atop a golden body. Decent carbonation. Nose is mildly corny. Flavour has hints of cob. Nothing terribly interesting here other than the price and the prospect of a cheap drunken date. I’d pass on this next time around.
