473 mL can. Not terrible considering the price. It really seems to be a mexican beer copying american style lagers. Light bitterness, hops, and malt. Nothing dominates, nothing particularly notable. Lacks an overall taste like many discount brands, but it is drinkable at least.

Pale golden color with thin white head. Light aroma of wet hay, citrus zest, and sweet malt. Thin mouthfeel with lots of carbonation. Light malt taste and a clean, short hop finish with little bitterness. I don’t know why, but in the Mexican state of Taumalipas and deep South Texas where I grew up, this beer is traditionally drunk out of the red metallic 12 oz cans with salt and lime juice sprinkled on the rim and inside the can. Thats the way its been for as long as I can remember as a kid. This is a practice I abhor, but this beer is my one exception. As they say, when in Rome do as the Romans. Try with ceviche or shrimp cocktail.

Aw, it can’t be that bad can it?? Pours a clear pale golden colour with a small thin white malty head. aroma is hoppy, corn tortilla and lemon. Taste is pretty lively with carbonation. Light mouthfeel and a grainy palate.

This is Mexican bud. Watery, a little sweetness, not much to go on. Drink with nachos.

Had this with (but tasted before the meal) Chilli con carne in restaurant "Habameros" in Bamberg. It’s weak golden with an OK head. The aroma is weak with light notes of malt. The flavour is weak with a light malty sweetness - and it’s on of the "wet & cold" - ’nuf said!

12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden with a fairly decent head, fair lacing. Smells like straw, grains, and fairly yeasty. Tastes fairly sweet intially and finishes a touch bitter. Light body, one of the better Mexican beers I’ve had this Cinco de Mayo.

I dont know why it got rated so terribly. Sure it is not an award winning beer but sure as hell beats most mexican beers and is soo easy to drink. When thirsty, Tecate is the next best thing to water for me
