| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jan 1, 2008 I had this with no expectation at all, and got nothing out of it. It’s watery and sort of refreshing, but it does have a bit more bite than bud, so I guess it gets more points? blklab2007 (969), Connecticut, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 28, 2007 bottle poured a light golden in color with a great initial rush of carbination but little head at all. aroma is typical sweet malt, caramel, and some grain. flavor is better than the nose, malt and grain are the main attractions but not as watered down as most of these lagers. does not have tons to offer but after a hard day at work and nice and cold it went down better than i had expected. | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Updated: Jan 1, 200812oz can. Yellow with a fluffy white head that collapses quickly. Rotting hay aroma shows almost no malt and no hops make an appearance. The flavor is quite similar with zero bitterness and plenty of vegetable and adjunct flavor in place of malt. Thin and hard palate. My first north american macro swill since coming home from Sweden, and It is indeed worse than any light lagers I had in the whole of europe. Maybe drinking it after Lagunitas IPA was a bad idea for fairness, but this was pretty much undrinkable. naivepegasus (186), USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Pours yellow with a lot of head. Has a smell of corn and, well, corn. That macro odor only a mother would love. Actually not as terrible as other macro pales- it doesn’t give you that sickly bitterness at the end, instead, it ends with a more subdued bitter taste that lets you know that, though there’s not much flavor there, it’d probably be alright on a really hot day if you wanted to refresh yourself. It’s...alright? I feel kinda depressed at the fact that when I was 19 I considered this my "sip and savor" beer... GriffinAvenue (396), Winchester, Massachusetts, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Dec 25, 2007 Can. Bright, urine yellow coloring. No head. Soda, ginger-ale like carbonation. Watery clear in appearance. Musty, stale, barley, spoiled juice in aroma. Thin body though not too dissimilar to a dos equis and finishes with a weak citrusy-lime residue. A high quality beer drinking game option or a very low quality beer any other time. Leave this one alone if you are over 23 or in Mexico and have no other options Snojerk321 (1999), San Diego, California, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Dec 19, 2007 Oh Tecate, why do you smell like raw sewage, let me count the ways. Your eau de rotting cabbage is quite foul. Your sickly pale yellow body and pathetic short lived fizzy head makes you look foolish next to other beers. Still, you are quenching on a hot summer’s day, with your slightly tart finish and mildy perfumy hop "character" wafting from your thin fizzy body. Oh Tecate, you could have been so much more... vmilaxer29 (144), Virginia, USA

| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Dec 18, 2007 very common amongst ignorant social drinkers arond these parts, a good choice for the tasting impaired, yellow body, no head, it is a well known fact that this is brewed with cheap corn that they use as cattle feed so no suprises there, bitter awful aftertaste, if youre hungover and theres nothing else left, pour lots of lemon juice into it and it serves pretty good as an antidote...nothing more, not even a thirst quencher, if looking for mexican beer id go for pacifico instead, not my countrys proudest moment although it is rather popular
