However, it is pleasant, crisp, inoffensive, has some decent flavour, is and drinkable. It’s better than many comparable Amerian beers like Bud Light, Budweiser, etc., as well as the ever-popular Corona. I don’t know if it’s me, but this type of cheap beer is really best out of a can. Well my fellow coaches and I decided to drop in at the local pizza place and celebrate our win on Saturday with some pizza and beer. So I get the SNPA pitcher and a few others get their Bud Light and someone else gets a pitcher of Tecate. Tecate!? It’s been years since I had this garbage and here I was, wolfing down some good pizza and about to wash it down with Tecate?? All right! Get the pitcher, pour some into my glass and get a whiff. Hmmm. Subtle sweetness, a bit of saltyness, and some weird punchyness off smell I can only account to dirty tap lines. Appearance was clear, dark gold in color with no head. Mouthfeel was watery, but thankfully nothing I had to spit out. The flavor of this beer was almost like it had some lime juice in it, which I know it didn’t but it still had a citric quality to it. When it was ice cold it went down quick and honestly, the pizza could have had a better partner for my meal but what the hell. My guys won, I’m eating good pizza and for next few hours life is good. But the beer was shit. gilvanblight (397), Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Unpleasant corn and vegitable scent. Watery. Very very watery and weak tasting. Goes down easy, that’s one positive I could say. Really nothing much there, no palate at all, and nearly no flavour. Oddly there is a slighly unpleasant aftertaste. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours yellow with white head. The aroma is sweet cornflour and lemon. The flavor is, well, not much of anything. Some light inoffensive maltiness and a few weird floral/corn husk notes. Blah. In Tucson, it is just as inexpensive as Bud Light etc. So if you are short on change...
It is ok for making micheladas though AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Smells of corn, perhaps the slightest trace of malt, pale yellow, pours the usual short lived white head. Taste is stale corn, light bodied, poor.
