Sampled at Broudy’s Beefest, Jacksonville FL, 3 June 2006. I had never tried this because I just dont like cheap Mexican lagers. I wasn’t quite as bad as I expected. ,,, 12-17-2006.. rerate.. A bottle of this turned up in a Beers of the World sampler pack (gift from my wife) Watery and sweet but drinkable and refreshing. Typical cheap Mexican lager but not terrible. same rating as before.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a clear, pale yellow beverage with a small white fizzy head that was completely gone in a matter of minutes leaving virtually no lacing on the glass. The aroma was well balanced, light and subtle. There were notes of bread dough, malt and floral hops. The body was thin with lively carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor started off slightly sweet and astringent. Toward the finish, the flavor took on a more bitter quality. The finish was average in length, dry and crisp.

can. Pours golden\amber with a large white head. Aroma of grain and malt. Flavor is grainy and watery, but drinkable. Thin body, crap brew.

Can. It was the special at our breast cancer fund raiser. A light amber color with a very watery taste. I would not recomend.

Both can and bottle. Pours pale golden with minimal head. I once described it as Bud Light with corn. For some reason there’s a big difference between the can and bottle forms. The bottle variety is very watery and has little or no head. The can has a much fuller body with a pretty decent head. I like it for some reason, and it does quench your thirst if you’re looking for something light and Mexican.

Bottle at Village Pub, KY. Light amber color with a large fizzy off-white head that diminished quickly. Light grainy aroma. Light o medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor and finish that was short. Worth having once.
