| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | May 3, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a strong yellow color with a white head. Run of the mill corn and malt flavor. No texture, spineless and flat. Light bodied. About what I expected: nothing impressive and worse than mediocre. JediMindTricks (240), Hampton, Virginia, USA

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Yellow pour wihth some white head. Lots of visible carb. Corny aroma, with some metallic hops. Flavor isn’t bad, corny and watery, but the sweetness is atleast controlled. maybe a hop in there somewhere. It’s not terrible, which is saying a lot for most mexican lagers. | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Apr 26, 2009 473 mL Can. Clear yellow body with a thin bubbly fizzy head that dissipates almost instantly, no lacing. Aroma is corn, corn husk, cardboard, and earth. Flavor is sweet corn, cream corn, and a corn husk aftertaste followed by a sweet watery finish. Tecate = Mexican for water. This is the safe alternative to drinking the local water for those who are thinking about traveling to Mexico. pineypower (1104), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 1/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Asked for a glass for this one because I wanted to properly rate it. Pours a piss yellow color with a fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet corn, malts and really no hop. If it is ice cold, that is the way to drink it because it will hide the terrible flavor. Why does Mexico bother brewing beer, they should just make pipe-lines from Stone’s urinals and directly bottle...or can from there. Prometheus (98), Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA

Weird aroma.
Bad taste of corn, etc.
No thanks. But cheap! OSLO (829), Minnesota, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 23, 2009 [Can] I don’t often drink or rate pale lagers anymore, but since this one was given to me, and I don’t have a rate from Mexico... Pours golden with a huge white head that rapidly shrinks, leaving excellent lacing as it goes. Aroma is bad. Dusty and laden with adjuncts. Nothing else really going on. The taste is likewise terribly simple and not pleasant. Corn...malt...and wow, once again that is it. Thin mouthfeel (expected), with a below-average finish that is not pleasant. I finished the can. I don’t want another.
