Brewed by/for the beermaster of restaurant Aino at the local (Helsinki) Teerenpeli brewery. One third sahtimallas, one third munchener, one third caramalt. Flavoured with spruce shoots. 4-1-4.3%

Draught@Aino, Helsinki, December 2008. Copper color, lasting off-white head. Mildly hoppy/fruity aroma. Lingering pine needle flavor with malty notes. Fairly light body, medium-light carbonation. It’s a pleasant curiosity.

Deep orange, thick tight head. Sweet fruity syrup aroma, some dust. Served very cold. Crisp carbonation. Slight pineyness to the taste, or even juniper. Not very full bodied, but not lacking in flavour. A little drying and bitter finish. As it warms more raspberry comes out in the aroma, and there is a touch of ginger in the taste, even cedar sap perhaps too.
