Draught@Teerenpeli, Helsinki. Dark opaque brown color, creamy steady espresso head, lace. Roasted, but also a bit sticky herbal nettle aroma (probably from NZ hops). Medium to full bodied. Crisp carbonation. Some licorice, roasted malts. For Finnish imperial stout this one has a strong cat piss hoppyness. Lingering hoppyness and toastyness in the aftertaste. This wasn’t instant hit for me, but Jatsijussi has more character than anyone Teerenpeli brew.

Draught at Teerenpeli, Helsinki. Black color with small head. Licorice, green apple, salty licorice and something unclean in the aroma. Firm roasty flavor with coffee, licorice, some chocolate and lots of charcoal in the finish. Tastes a bit too acrid and unclean (sewer?).

Draught. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark dry fruits and some fruityness. Flavour is dark dry fruits, some mildly roasted malts and smoked wood. Complex and quite nice. Not going to the extremes by any means.

Black colored with little beige head. Berry and roasted sweet aroma, you can definitely say that this comes from Teerenpeli. Medium bodied. Flavor is also dominated by roastiness and same berries, aftertaste has mild bitterness from hops. Well, harmless IS.

(Draught@Teerenpeli, Helsinki) Very dark brown with a medium, brown and lacy head. Aroma is very roasty with ashiness, hops, and black coffee, plus sourish-milky hints. Roasted-malty, moderately bitter flavor with a long, burned-ashy finish. Medium body with slightly foamy carbonation and hard water. Certainly the best Teerenpeli for a long time, but too burned for my liking.

Draught (Teerenpeli, Helsinki)
Served very cold, we let this warm up a bit before drinking it. Basically black, tan head. Sweetish urinal smell - I can’t work out if it’s the blue cubes or the purple ones. Pleasant carbonation. Smooth palate, quite a bite of burntness immediately. Decent roast, and pleasantly flowery hops. Well balanced and very drinkable. Very dry finish, there’s a tingle of hops left in the mouth too. Served at a drinkable temperature. Had a great hoppy aroma, and the taste was crammed full of those NZ hops. So drinkable, a great concoction.

(Draught at Teerenpeli Kamppi on 2009-01-16) Black. Medium sized and long lasting brown head. Roastedness and liquorice in nose. Full bodied and little bit oily palate with little carbonation. Roastedness, coffee, liquorice, some alcohol, bitterness and light sweetness in taste. Roastedness and bitterness in aftertaste. The best beer so far from this brewery.
