bottle from a wine shop in Seaton. Red-glowing copper colour, hazy, tiny head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied with a good malt base, hints of caramel, a touch of salt and a rather hoppy and resiny finish. Good.

Cask in 3 judges. Aroma is malty, but a bit tart and slightly oxidised. Taste is similar no hop notes, easy drinkable enough, but past its best.

BCA picked up from the brewery 30-12-06 in a mixed case, and drunk that evening. Amber in colour with sweetish hoppy aroma, whilst this hasn’t impressed me as much as some of their other beers it was still a fine session beer bit sweet but there is some citrusy tang in there.

Pint pulled at the Church House Inn in Holne (Devon), a clear amber with a thin off-white head. A very light hoppy aroma. Light and smooth on the palate with a consistent bitterness combined with a malty flavour.

Cask (handpump) @ New Fountain Inn, Whimple EX5. Light brown/red body, vanilla whiff to the hopped nose, sweetness also all the way through to the finish, very smooth and easy to drink.
