Bottle at Toms Ultimate Glasgow Tasting : Poured a dark black brown with a light brown head. The aroma was a sweet roasted coffee malt smell. The taste was bitter coffee and roasted malt, with hint of chocolate.

Bottle at ultimate glasgow tasting. Alround rating: Bittersweet, loads of roasted barley, immencly grassy, sweet apple hints in the finish. A strange imp stout, which doesnt really work.

Bottle at Chris´s, october 07. Deep black color with a medium beige head. Strong alcoholic, anise, treacle aroma. Warming milk chocolate flavor with some brandy notes and a full treacle, dark sugar flavor. Nice. Medium mouthfeel, flavor packed with a nice acid final touch. Great, authentic flavorfull porter.

2006 bottle. Black beer with a nice thin dark tan head. Rich spice (ginger) molasses nose. Almost pumpkin spice. Fizzy mouth feel at first. Sweet for the first few sips and then mellows. Chocolate, molasses and soy sauce with bit of a sour edge. Sticky. Bitter alcohol and soy finish. I think this beer would gain favour with repeated indulgence.
