ThomasE (5075), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 8, 2008 orange, amber colour with a white head. Light malty sweet aroma with hoppy fruity and alcohol sweet notes. Light caramel sweet flavor with hoppy and light fruity notes.
trokini (941), San Diego, California, USA Oct 20, 2008 Surprising beer. Pours clear copper with a big white head. Spicy hop and malt nose; akin to a Sierra Nevada. The taste is very smooth. Sweet malt and crisp hops, nice balance of citrus and resin, with a very distinctive finish. Sour, funky, bretty, and delicious. Its like a Flemish take on an APA. Neither overrun the other, but instead bring out the best in both. alexanderj (1404), San Diego, California, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle from South Bay Drugs; poured a rich amber color with a huge, frothy white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, spice, vanilla and a hint of fruitiness. Pretty straightforward and not overly tasty of a beer. Some caramel, yeast, earthy/herbal elements with a slightly tart flavor. Just ok. bhensonb (3129), Woodland, California, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle from South Bay Drug; corked and caged. Clear amber color with a slight white head. Aroma is somewhat caramel malt with mild fruit and a touch of yeast or sour. Near medium body with carbonation that is noticeable, but not spritzy. There are light fruity notes, possibly a bit of citrous zest. The malt sweetness is mild, everpresent, but not excessive. Pleasant, suggestive of a lighter Belgian ale. mkade8883 (1), Goleta, California, USA does not count Oct 2, 2008 We got a keg of this straight from the brewery and it was nearly undrinkable. It is sickenly sweet and tastes as if it weren’t hopped at all. KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 9, 2008 Clear amber with medium off white head. Sweet and mild hoppy aroma with caramel and yeasty notes. Sweet flavor with yeasty, caramel and fruity notes. Ends sweet.
