Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Huge head response. Very clear and yellow. Wheaty and dry aroma. Very tingly and smooth. Easy drinking and enjoyable. A little harsh upfront but still remains excellent.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Wheat, spice, and yeast aroma with some light lemon citrus. Wheat/malt flavor with yeast, light spice, and light tartness. Medium-light bodied. Wheat and malt linger with yeast and spice.

Bottle from Ledgers Liquors. Orange tinged gold color with a fizzy white head that went poof. Aromas of citrus and grain. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Whoa! The first flavor is barnyard. Excellent. There’s hop, grain and some florality, but this is really interesting stuff. More like a real saison than standard old American wheat ale. And at 5% this is sessionable funk!

750 ml bottle from Bev4less. This on pours a cloudy orange-gold with a small fizzy white head that immediately disappears. The aroma is mild with banana, bread dough and some funk. The taste is light with saison-like qualities, there are spices, wheat, funky yeasts and assorted fruits. The mouthfeel is thin and crisp that builds to a pasty conclusion. The finish is medium in duration and a touch sour. Overall: This is a new twist on the venerable wheat ale and a fairly good one at that. Recommended.

03-Jul-08 (750-ml corked and caged bottle, Bottled on 06-Mar-08: Purchased 27-Jun-08 for $7.49 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) Expectations are easily exceeded with this wheat beer. For starters, light citrus adds a gentle but enveloping tartness that is wonderfully refreshing on the palate. Delicate spices and gentle hops discreetly add balance, complexity and a hint of bitterness. But perhaps most importantly, the lightly bready wheat base is light and airy rather than heavy and stale, which results in a light-medium bodied beer that’s clean and refreshing on the palate. Aromas of dusty hops, tart apples, orange citrus, and a hint of yeastiness in the nose. Hazy, golden body clears up as the sediment drops out. The beer pours a small, off-white head that settles to a thin ring. One of the more unique, interesting, and exceptionally drinkable wheat beers, and having it packaged in a cork-finished bottle seems quite fitting.

Picture sent in. Bottled on March 27, 2008. Pours with a huge, frothy white head covering a cloudy yellow body. Aroma of berries, lemon, clove, wheat and honey. Taste is completely without any sweetness. Some citrus, wheat and bready malts. Highly overcarbonated fizziness. Dry mouthfeel. Feels unbalanced and dry.
