| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Considered a berliner weisse here on Ratebeer. Interesting. The cloudy pale yellow pour is topped by an evanescent white foam. Its pale malts+ wheat combine into a dryish biscuitiness while tea-like herbal, and zesty lemon suggest upcoming refreshment skills. Its brett character, while not so subtle, remains soft-edged, drying the palate in which little residual sugars remain despite the tasty, crisp pale malts. Rather detached mouthfeel where the fat, foaming and biting bubbles enhance the thinness perception and perhaps diminishes its a priori immense drinkability. The sourness comprises both citric and lactic components, both of which are shows up get a little peaky in the finish. Perhaps not the most refined nor tight/cohesive, but intriguing, inviting and highly original. hopscotch (5543), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Good retention. The aroma puts forth modest notes of warm bread, clove, CornNuts and only a rumor of banana. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Light pale grain sweetness and mild lemon tartness. Crisp, tangy finish. Cletus (5059), Connecticut, USA

Smells of lactic acid, tarte, wheat, grassy. Tastes tarte and lacti with a refreshing lemony citric finish. I’d drink this all summer if I had access.
