The beer pours to a really hazy pale straw body with a nice dense white head and ridiculous lacing. The aroma is tart wheat and lemons with a lightly funky yeast and very unique complex lemons. The flavor is really complex and superb. Lemons meets tart wheat. It’s funky but not overly so. Such subtlety in this beer. The palate is crisp and carbonated but not too vibrant. A perfect summer beer. I wish I’d have bough more! MuertosPorter (28), California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours an alluring golden straw color, with a slight amount of cloudiness. Fizzy white head. Lively carbonation. Very tart and earthy aromas. Lemons, citrus oil, freshly cut grass. Amazingly fresh flavors of tart citrus, sourdough bread, some woody notes. Very dry crisp clean finish. This is amazing! Easily ranks up with the top ten of its style. Highly Recommended. DaSilky1 (2027), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 22, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2009Draft - Stone sourfest: Poured cloudy tangerine in color and sported but a halo of white froth. The nose was indeed wheaty with dry tangerine notes abound. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated, and i like that. The lactic sour intro has nice wheaty characteristics and nice brett notes to balance out the wheat. I also like the nice background sour boost to balance things out. What i like about this beer is the very obviousness of the fact that this is a very carefully thought out recipe and that the different components of brett, lacatobacillus, etc.work perfectly with each other...I give huge props! RE-RATE BOTTLE 1/27/09 bottling: Gotta boost the points for aroma, this thing was of the wall with sour wheat, lemon zest, and holy jesus H. Christ on a Popsicle stick. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 25, 2009 Thanks to Blake for bringing the 750, bottled on my B-day, 2009. Poured cloudy medium golden with a well-formed cap of white head. The aroma picked up sour lemon zest, earthy spices, and dry Brett funkage over a soft bready base.. balance was spot-on, and I could sit here and smell it all day. The flavor was also on point with pale malts supporting zesty, bright, funky, and ultimately refreshing character of lemon rind, fragrant floral, and funky Brett around.. refreshing as well on the long finish with ample acidity and excellent flavors. Lighter-bodied, crisp, and funky on the palate with a long finish.. this was absolutely delightful! kramer (2524), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 24, 2009 25 oz bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow body with a fluffy and frothy bright white head that left lots of lacing. Lightly sour nose with lots of hay and wheat. Some light floral hops and tropical fruits. Fairly crisp and lightly sour flavor with nice hay and light farmhouse character. Some lemon rind and citrus fruit. Not really as puckering as a traditional Berliner Weisse and not really a Sour Ale either. Light bodied and crisp with great lively fizzy carbonation. Really pretty nice, refreshing and crisp with enough tartness to keep it lively and interesting without being overpowering. malrubius (1004), Valley Stream, New York, USA

Then bottles at Stone. Missed out both times. Now it’s on the shelves. Woohoo. And it’s really good. Light yellow color. Wheaty. A cross between a Berliner Weisse and a gueze. Very easy to drink. Dry. Medium sourness. Very nice. Glouglouburp (2881), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
